Summer at the Lake

The photos for the July events are enclosed.<—Click here These events are the mainstay of the Walnut Grove Lake Community. The homeowners get together with social events and make this a great community. Each of us enjoy the events as they bring us closer together. Please enjoy these photos. If you have any photos you wish to share please send them to me so we can post.

Victor Charles September 2019

Hello, Walnut Grove Lake homeowners,

It has been a fast-paced two months since becoming president of Walnut Grove Lake Home Owners Association. I am learning very quickly about the needs of our neighborhood.

At my first Board meeting in April, I learned that we need more volunteers to make our association strong and our neighborhood pleasant. One of your board members suggested that we establish (or reestablish) committees while expanding some of our current committees. In essence, we need your help.

Here are some examples that could benefit from stronger committee involvement:

• A Beautification Committee for common areas that need mowing and or landscaping. As most of you know several MLGW areas abut Walnut Grove Lake areas yet are our responsibility to mow. We really need a committee to research this and develop a map and schedule for vendors to provide the needed services.

• A Parks Committee to regularly monitor equipment and report maintenance and security issues to the board

• A strengthened Lake Committee to make regular reports on lake conditions and wildlife

I'm sure there are other opportunities, and these are merely conversation starters! The point is, stronger committees will result in stronger involvement, better communication, and a better neighborhood. If you wish to put your skills to work in a particular way, please contact me directly by email, and introduce yourself!
