Wildlife at the Lake

We have lots of critters sharing the Lake and the surrounding area. We have deer, raccoons, possums, beavers, armadillos, squirrels, chipmonks, red fox, river otters, hawks, blue herons - I'm sure I've missed a few.  If you have a photo of a critter you would like to share with us, please send it to wglha@wglha.com and we will publish it here.

We have an eagle living at our lake!!  Video provided by Barb Arnold.

I know, raccoons are pests, but they really are so cute!

An albino raccoon: Apparently there is a whole family of albino raccoons around the lake, because they have been sighted for years on both sides of the lake.  Photo added November 2011.
